New Station 1 Artist Rendering

The Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue Department is proud to announce the renovation and expansion of our Station 1.  Many major improvements will be made during this expansion.  The new and improved station will include four drive thru bays that will face S. Main St., a large formal training room, improved kitchen facilities, the addition of a bunkroom with beds for twelve firefighters, a weight room, a locker room, additional office space and increased storage for department equipment.  Construction of the expansion should start around the first week of May 2007.  Once construction of the expansion is complete operations will be moved into the new section of the station.  Once the move is completed the contractor will begin renovating the existing station.
