These Seagraves are the pride of the Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue Department.  The first Seagrave bought was Engine 3.  It is a 1995 Seagrave and is the second out Engine at Station 1.  Ladder 4 was purchased in 1999 and is also housed at Station 1.  Ladder 4 responds to all fire alarms, and structure fires in the Cornelius Fire District.  Ladder 4 also responds to the commercial area of Sam Furr Rd. and Statesville Rd. in Huntersville, as well as, all areas of the Gilead Fire District that Cornelius responds to as automatic mutual aid.  Engine 4 was purchased in 2001 to become the first out Engine at Station 2 on the "West Side" of town.  In 2005 Cornelius took delivery of Engine 5, another Seagrave engine that was ordered to replace the 1984 Ford/Pierce the served us well for twenty years. In 2008 Cornelius once again added to the fleet of Seagraves. A 1988 Seagrave Tiller Ladder was purchased from the Bedford Fire Department in Virginia.  This will be the second Ladder Company in Cornelius history and the fifth Seagrave of the fleet.
